Electrode potential falls and resistance of zirconium oxide- base electrodes in a flow of ionized gas
Annotation
An apparatus simulating the operating conditions of an open-cycle magnetohydrodynamic generator was used in order to study zirconium oxide electrodes stabilized with yttrium oxide. The resistance of the electrodes was measured under working conditions. The values of the cathode fall and its dependence on the current density and the temperature of the electrode surface are also presented.
