Effect of the nanofiller structure on the heat resistance of polyamide-$6/$organoclay nanocomposites
Annotation
We propose a structural model for determining the temperature of thermal distortion, which limits from above the temperature range of application of materials, for polyamide-$6/$organoclay nanocomposites. The type of nanostructured composite (true or intermediate nanocomposite, microcomposite) has an even greater effect on its heat resistance than the concentration of filler within the same type. The structure of the nanofiller in the polymer matrix at its fixed concentration is the only factor that determines the heat resistance. The proposed model makes it possible to predict the heat resistance of nanocomposites.
