Thermodynamics of evaporation of scandium trichloride in the form of ScCl3 and Sc2Cl6 molecules
Annotation
The values of the molecular constants and thermodynamic functions of Sc2Cl6 are chosen as a result of a critical analysis of experimental and theoretical data on the structure and vibration frequencies of the dimer of scandium trichloride molecules. From these, the composition of scandium trichloride vapor is calculated in the temperature range 8001240 K. The thermochemical characteristics of Sc2Cl6 were obtained are also refined for ScCl3.
