The hydrodynamics of one- and two-phase flows in channels with longitudinally continuous twist
The results are given of analysis and generalization of the experimental data on the investigation of hydraulic drag in coiled channels and tubes (including short ones) with an insert in the form of a twisted tape during motion of one- and two-phase flows. Modes of liquid–gas flow are described, and correlations are derived for the calculation of the limits and chart of flow modes. Comparison is made of the flow mode limits in channels of different shapes.
