Amplification of vortex and temperature waves in the process of induced scattering of sound in thermodynamically nonequilibrium media
The unsteady-state induced scattering of sound by vortex and temperature waves in gas media is studied. It is shown that, in thermodynamically nonequilibrium media that are acoustically active, the parametric increment may be much higher than that in equilibrium media. This is accompanied by a sharp growth of amplitudes of vortex and temperature waves.
