Introduction of Wall Corrections to a Model of Turbulence of the $k$–$\varepsilon$ type for the calculation of flows in boundary layer
Annotation
A model for the calculation of wall turbulence is suggested. The model is based on the hypothesis about the presence of damping introduced by the wall into all turbulent interactions. The obtained model of the $k$–$\varepsilon$–$\langle t^{'2}\rangle$–$\varepsilon_t$ type includes one correction function for the $k$–$\varepsilon$ model and one function for the $\langle t^{'2}\rangle$–$\varepsilon$ model, which coincide at $\mathrm{Pr}=1$, and reproduces adequately all main characteristics of the boundary layer.
