Shock compression of porous copper at megabar pressures
The results are given of new measurements of shock compression of porous copper specimens in a hemispherical measuring device at megabar pressures. The initial density of the specimens is found to be $\rho_{00}=4.465$ g/cm$^3$ (porosity $m=\rho_{0}/\rho_{00}=2.0$) and $2.23$ g/cm$^3$$(m=4.0)$. In a comparable pressure range, the obtained data do not confirm the compression parameters of porous copper known from the previous measurements.
