Electric Conductivity of Molecular Hydrogen Plasma with Alkali Metal Additive
Annotation
The electric conductivity of a gas mixture as a possible working medium for a magnetohydrodynamic generator (a minor amount of cesium or potassium in argon and molecular hydrogen) is calculated in the 1000–5000 K temperature range at a constant pressure of 1 atm. The advantages of molecular hydrogen as a possible buffer gas for magnetohydrodynamic generators are discussed.
