Thermal conductivity and diffusivity of binary alloys of the $\mathrm{ZrC}$ – $\mathrm{ZrB}_2$ system at high temperatures
Annotation
This paper investigates the thermal conductivity and the diffusivity of binary alloys of the $\mathrm{ZrC}$–$\mathrm{ZrB}_2$ system over the entire range of composition, of the alloys $\mathrm{HfC}$–$\mathrm{HfB}_2$ and $\mathrm{TaC}$–$\mathrm{TaB}_2$ of eutectic composition, and also samples of $\mathrm{ZrC}$ and $\mathrm{ZrB}_2$ obtained by methods of chemical-phase deposition and sintering. It is shown that grain-boundary scattering of phonons can play an appreciable role, even at high temperatures.
