Measurement of turbulent fluctuations in nonisothermal jets
A procedure is described for interpreting the readings of a constant-resistance hot-wire anemometer in the study of the structure of high-temperature subsonic gas jets. Analytical expressions are presented and analyzed. The optimal relations between the temperature of the probe wire and gas are indicated for minimization of the error of turbulent flow measurements.
