Mathematical simulation of evolution of solitary spherical vapor bubble under compression by external pressure
Annotation
Numerical simulation is used to investigate the evolution of a solitary spherical vapor bubble under conditions of abrupt increase in pressure in the ambient liquid. A mathematical model based on the uniformity of parameters within the bubble is used in the calculations. The suggested model provides for exact validity of integral energy balance, except for the kinetic energy of vapor. Results are obtained for the temperature rise and the characteristics of processes of heat and mass transfer.
