On the universal law of the decomposition of thermal-protective binder composite materials at high temperatures
Annotation
Based on the known (rated) values of the densities and temperatures at the beginning and end of the decomposition of thermal-protective binder composite materials, as well as on the exponential nature of the decomposition (pyrolysis) of the binder composite materials, the law of binder pyrolysis is established with the formation of a gas component and a porous coke residue, through which the pyrolysis gases are filtered and are blown into the high-temperature boundary layer. The law is universal in nature and suitable for almost any heat-shielding composite materials, since it does not use the chemical kinetics of decomposition, which are difficult to formalize. The use of this decomposition law will greatly simplify the mathematical modeling of complex processes for the design of thermal protection for high-speed and hypersonic aircraft. An analysis of the obtained calculation results is presented.
