Mechanism underlying laser-induced broadband radiation of polycrystalline graphite
Annotation
Under the action of IR laser radiation on polycrystalline graphite, secondary broadband radiation appears in the visible region of the spectrum. In order to clarify the nature of this phenomenon, radiation with resistive heating and arc discharge was compared. It is concluded that broadband emission of polycrystalline graphite can be attributed to anti-Stokes luminescence, which occurs due to forced Raman scattering of photons at high temperatures. A simulation model is proposed and implemented which can qualitatively reproduce the radiation spectrum by sequential inclusion of second-order aperiodic links.
