Thermochemistry of vanadium fluorides: Mass-spectrometric study of gas equilibria in vanadium–fluorinating agent systems
Annotation
The effusion method with mass spectrometric analysis of the vapor composition of systems with the initial compositions of V–MnF3 and V–UF4 are applied to determine ΔrHo0 (kJ/mol) for reactions MnF4+VF4=MnF3+VF5 – (–17.5 \pm 3.9) and \text{VF}_4 + \text{UF}_4 = \text{VF}_3 + \text{UF}_5 – (\ge27.5).
