Sound Velocity in Liquid 1-Alkenes
The method of echo pulse overlap is used to investigate the sound velocity in liquid alkenes from $1$-hexene to $1$-hexadecene with an even number of atoms per molecule at pressures up to $100$ MPa in the temperature range from $303$ to $433$ K. The maximal error of measurements is $0.1\%$. It is for the first time that experimental data on the sound velocity in liquid $1$-dodecene, $1$-tetradecene, and $1$-hexadecene are obtained. The correlation between the sound velocity and molecular structure of alkenes is studied. The parameters of correlation equations are calculated.
