The generation of compact quasi-spherical plasma formations by an HF inductive discharge
Annotation
Inductors of a new type are developed for producing HF discharges, which represent frames of convex polyhedrons. In these inductors, stationary compact plasma formations are generated whose shape is close to spherical. The plasma produced in these inductors exhibits a higher concentration of electrons, as well as a visually higher specific glow intensity per unit volume, than those in the known spiral-based inductors.
