Numerical Simulation of Surface Glow Discharge in Molecular Nitrogen
Annotation
The DC surface glow discharge in molecular nitrogen at a pressure p=10 Torr and voltages V0=600,700, and 1000 V is considered based on the diffusion-drift model. The local maxima of the electric field strength and the current density on electrodes are determined. The temperature fields induced by Joule heating in the near-electrode regions are analyzed.
