Phase composition and magnetic properties of iron oxide nanoparticles obtained by impulse electric discharge in water
Annotation
The chemical composition and the magnetic properties of iron oxide nanoparticles, obtained by impulse electric discharge in water, are investigated. The phase composition of the $\rm{Fe}_3\rm{O}_4$, $\rm{Fe}_2\rm{O}_3$, and $\rm{Fe}$ nanoparticles is determined. By means of the nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) technique, the magnetic moments of the nanoparticles are determined. The magnetic moment of the spherical nanoparticles equals to $2.39 \times 10^{–19}$ A m$^2$, and that of the cubical ones is $4.56 \times 10^{–19}$ A m$^2$.
