Heat transfer to liquid metals in regular arrays of fuel elements
The possibility of calculating the Nusselt number in arrays of fuel elements by using the universal temperature profile in round tubes is examined. A method of calculating $\rm Nu$, based on the analogy of local heat transfer coefficients in equivalent plane slits, is given. The analysis of theoretical and experimental data leads to a general equation for a wide range of pitches of triangular arrays of fuel elements.
