Role of plasma in developed vaporization of metals under the action of intense optical radiation
Annotation
Experimental results have shown that under conditions of optical probing of an erosional plasma, condensed phase of the destruction products can have a significant effect on the weakening of the probe radiation. The role of the plasma is discussed in the formation of the recoil pressure on the irradiated target, as well as possible appearance of special features caused by the abrupt decrease of the absorption coefficient and the explosive disintegration of superheated liquid metal.
