Effect of various impurities on the viscosity of molten iron
Annotation
The effects of arsenie, carbon, palladium, tungsten, chronium, molybdenum, manganese, and nickel on kinematic viscosity of molten iron are investigated experimentally. Within the limits of the concentrations investigated, arsenic lowers the viscosity of molten iron insignificantly, while carbon sharply increases its yield. The experimental results obtained are explained using a quasipolycrystalline model of the structure of the melts.
