Fire resistance structural model of polymer–organoclay composites
Annotation
In the context of a strange (anomalous) diffusion concept, it is shown that instant jumps (“Levy flights”) of the combustion front from one area of a polymer material onto other abruptly increases the combustibility of this material. A decrease in the distance between nanofiller particles reduces the intensity of such jumps, thereby enhancing the fire resistance of the material. An increase in the fractal time of combustion results in the intensification of “Levy flights”, and vice versa.
