Results of an experimental investigation of heat transfer with the heating in tubes of a turbulent flow of gas, dissociating catalytically at the wall
Annotation
The article sets forth some of the results of an experimental investigation of heat transfer in round tubes made of stainless steel Kh18N10T with the heating of a turbulent flow of ammonia under the conditions of the developed catalytic dissociation of molecules of $\rm NH_3$ at the wall. An empirical equation is obtained for the rate of the surface reaction; it is shown that the mass transfer of the reagent obeys laws analogous to the laws of heat transfer to nonreactive gases with variable physical properties. A method is developed for calculating the local parameters of heat and mass transfer on the basis of integral measurements of the composition and temperature of the flow at the ends of the tube.
