Cathode processes formed in a condensed arc in a hydrocarbon
Annotation
The cathode build-up process was studied. It has been found that a cathode may be produced from graphite deposited by a condensed arc in a hydrocarbon; this provides information on the ion current, local effective pressure, and temperature of the emitting surface. Estimates are presented for these quantities.
